Enclosures
The noise generated by machinery in industrial areas can be a serious hazard to employee health and productivity.
In these environments, Bradgate offer simple and economic solutions to reduce noise, limit vibration and lower the risk of fire.
Where practical, noisy machinery can be isolated within a container or canopy – reducing the noise at source, and leaving the operator in a relatively quiet and safe environment.
Alternatively, a soundproof refuge can be constructed – either as a ‘one-piece’ structure or as a demountable hollow box steel structure with acoustic panels bolted to the frame – ensuring communication and administration can be performed without interruption or disturbance.
All enclosures are sealed and finished to the customer’s colour scheme, and it is recommended that demountable enclosures receive their final paint finish after installation on site.
Construction
Weather enclosures and canopies
- 1.6mm zintec steel body preformed into sections and welded to form a rigid structure (a heavier gauge is used when structurally or acoustically necessary)
- Aspiration and cooling air flow are provided via mesh or ‘fixed’ weather louvred apertures
- Access doors can be fitted on both sides and the rear, if required, and include anti-rattle pads, slam-lock fastening, and a chromium handle
- Viewing windows can be built into the doors for visual access to items such as generator control panel
EC acoustic enclosures and canopies
Manufactured to the same high specification as the weather canopy, these structures also have:
- Acoustic 50mm resin-bonded mineral fibre faced with 1.0mm galvanised perforated steel applied to the doors and roof (to ensure that the structure meets European Community noise regulations)
- Acoustic louvres or baffles for aspiration and cooling air flow
- Flexible canvas plenums to interconnect radiators to outlets
- Access doors with a compression-type seal
Acoustic enclosures and canopies
Manufactured to the same high specification as the weather canopy, these structures also have:
- Acoustic 50/100mm resin-bonded mineral fibre (density 45/kg/m3) faced with galvanised perforated steel
- Acoustic splitters or baffles to provide aspiration and cooling air flow
- Flexible canvas plenums to interconnect radiators to outlets
- Access doors with a compression type seal
- Double-glazed viewing windows
