Power to carry 80,000 barrels a day
Bradgate supplied a control room plus ten HV and LV substations to upgrade the power and signalling of a 200km railway loop in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Oil has formerly been carried by pipeline to the Caspian Sea, but the upgrade makes it possible to use an existing rail system as part of a new bulk oil rail transfer system that runs continuously to transport 80,000 barrels a day. The 11 modules were largely transported by rail, so all equipment is packaged into a maximum container size of 22m x 3.5m x 5.5m.
