Switchgear housing designed for specialised air transportation and now installed at a petroleum facility in Chad. The module was completed, fitted out, and tested at the Bradgate site, and is equipped with: control and protection panels, DC tripping supplies, power management system, lighting and emergency lighting, high integrity HVAC/pressurisation system.


Working to customers’ specifications, we design and build modules to house all kinds of control and instrumentation systems. Our own engineers install all internally mounted equipment, whether mechanical or electrical, and whether supplied by Bradgate or free-issued by the customer or end-user.

Complete modules are tested by Bradgate and the end-user to ensure that the module is fully ready for operation when it arrives on site.

Switchgear modules are specifically designed to accommodate MV and LV switchgear, UPS, VSDs, transformers and similar electrical equipment. They can also be designed as complete substation modules.

Modules are supplied complete with the lighting, small power, fire detection/alarm systems, heating and ventilation to meet customers’ requirements and to provide a suitable environment for reliable, long-term operation of the installed equipment. They are structurally designed to be lifted and transported with electrical equipment installed – which minimises the time and testing required during site installation.



Perfect balance
One-piece switchgear module fully fitted out, pre-cabled and tested by Bradgate mechanical and electrical installation engineers. The four-point top lift is one of the criteria that Bradgate has introduced into switchgear module specifications. Although the load in this module is offset because the equipment is 9 tonnes heavier on one side, the lift is perfectly level.
