Acoustic Louvres
Air flow and noise in balance
Acoustic louvres are used wherever noise attenuation equipment must fit a limited space, but the additional resistance to air flow must be taken into account in the design. Customers present their criteria to Bradgate, and the design team produces the optimum solution.

Where space is limited, Bradgate acoustic louvres provide excellent sound attenuation and good protection from the weather, even over shorter lengths. They are manufactured in a variety of paint finishes and can be colour-matched to a customer’s specification.

Construction
Single-blade and chevron-blade louvres are manufactured with a 1.6mm zintec/galvanised steel top section, with an acoustic infill of resin-bonded mineral fibre.

Fibre characteristics
Non-hydroscopic
Chemically inert
Non-combustible to BS476 Part 4 1981
45kgs/m3 in density
V under-section formed from 1.6mm galvanised steel mesh.

Blade assembly
A 1.6mm zintec/galvanised steel channel frame
Standard 50 x 50 x 6mm fixing flange which can be drilled to suit the required mounting.

Type SB and Type CB
The velocity is approximately 7.5m/sec/1500 ft/min. Variations may occur depending on the application. Alternative velocity requirements can be achieved.

Options
Bird mesh
Aluminium construction
Stainless steel construction
Special finishes.

Maximum attenuatation in minimal space
Designed for installation in a very restricted space, these acoustic louvres are under construction to provide a high level of noise control for a large boiler house.
